A Battle Now Won

They were just babies when they brought them home.
They loved them and raised them just like their own.
Their real parents they were a drug addicted pair.
Too busy getting high to really even care.

They fought them in court six years, now they've won.
Now they legally have a daughter and son.
The news came today and it brought me to tears.
To know that it's over and there's nothing to fear.

Those two little babies are now six and four
Two beautiful children their granny adore.

For my grandchildren
