The
next 4 weeks the days seemed to go by so fast. But Margo and
Daniel spent every waking moment together. they went to the
movies,
and swimming, to the soda shop. always spending all the time
that they
could together ,any where you seen one of them, you seen the
other one.
you could tell that they were in love, the moment you looked at
them.
finally at last it was time to leave for home. They had traded in
their
airline tickets and rented a car, so they could drive back
together. She was so excited to go back home, and let her family
and friends meet Daniel. That last day before Daniel arrived to
pick her up; Margo took one
more walk around the grounds of magnolia lane. As she walked
past the magnolia trees, she picked one and slid it into her
hair. How she had
always loved the smell of the magnolia blossoms. Then she walked
thru the white picket arch that was the entrance to the flower
garden.
As she walked ,she thought about all the history that magnolia
lane held for her family. The war, the slaves ,the lumber mill,
and the crops. She would miss the old place, because now it held
new memories for her. And she would always remember that summer when she fell in love, with Daniel
in that special place,
where the magnolia blossoms blooms.
