Margo fixed a glass of ice tea and sat down to call her mom. The phone rang about three times, and then she heard her mom’s voice come on the line. “Hi mom," said Margo." Well, hi sweetie,” said her mom Joanne,  how are things going at grandma’s house? Are you having fun?” “Well, said Margo I wouldn’t call it fun, but it is good to see grandma and grandpa again. But it is so boring here mom, it’s not like I remember it being at all.

“Well said Joanne, you were younger when you stayed before, it didn’t take much to entertain you at all back then. And she laughed, now that you are 16 you like to do more things.” “How did you stand it mom, when you were growing up here?” well Joanne said, “back then it was all we knew,  
we didn’t have internet, or laptops and cell phones. And there were no malls; we had the drug store, which had all kind of stuff. And if we  
needed clothes we would go once a month to the city and that was it. We had to find things to do outdoors, like climbing trees, go for walks, or fish. We loved to go to the creek and go swimming. In the evening we  would go into town, to the soda shop, or the walk-in movie.

that’s where I met your dad. I bumped into him and he spilled his popcorn all over the place, I helped him pick it up, then we started talking and that was that. We knew we loved each other from the first time our eyes met. It’s been twenty years and we still feel the same. I was sixteen just like you and your dad was 17. Who knows Margo, you might meet the love of your life there too. 

Margo laughed and said; yeah grandma is trying to fix me up with a boy named Daniel. She says he visits his grandparents, the Townsend every  summer. Really said Joanne, I wonder if he is Marilyn Townsend son. Who is Marilyn? Said Margo, she and I were best friends when we were kids said Joanne. But when I started dating your dad, we kind of drifted apart .to tell you the truth I think she had a thing for your dad. And when he asked me out instead of her  I think she got jealous. 

Then she met a boy named Teddy Rodgers, and they got married about a year before your dad and I did. Then they moved down here to Florida  somewhere, when Teddy's job opened a branch down here. teddy was an accountant, and a very nice guy. Wow she said, it has been years since I thought about them. Well anyway, I had better go, your dad will be home and I need to get dinner ready. Let me know how things go with Daniel, and find out if he is Marilyn's son. I will said Margo .I love you mom, and Tell dad I love him too. Ok sweetie I will and I love you too. And then they hung up the phone.
