Summer Love

So Daniel where do you live? Grandma said you spend every summer with your grandparents. Yes, I love it here, he said, it is so quite compared to city life. I live in Orlando, Florida. No way said Margo that is just to cool.  You won't believe this I live in Orlando too .wow, said Daniel, this is unbelievable. What school do you go to he asked? Edgewater high said  Margo. no way, said Daniel I go to Edgewater high too. Well said Margo Edgewater is a large school, I’m in the tenth grade what about you? The eleventh, said Daniel. And they both started to laugh about that time grandma came back with some tea, and some sandwiches. These look great said Daniel, and the three of them sat there eating and talking.

Daniel, how is your mother doing, asked grandma? Oh she is doing?  Great Mrs. King, she is still working at Winnie palmer hospital, as a delivery nurse, I think she has been there about 12 years now. Well that’s good to hear said grandma. Then she turned to Margo and said, Daniel’s mother Marilyn and Joanne were good friends growing up, if Marilyn  wasn't here, Joanne was at her house. Those two were always up to something, and always on the go. Until the year that Joanne met bob, he swept her off her feet. After that Marilyn came over less and less. Joanne and Bob were practically joined at the hip so to speak. Where ever Joanne was you would find bob too. Then Marilyn met Teddy, his family had just moved to town. He was such a sweet fella, always very polite.  The four of them went out together a few times, but it seemed like the girls just drifted apart. That was such a shame because they had always been so close. Then the next year after graduation Marilyn and Teddy got married.  A year later they moved to Florida. The next year Joanne and Bob got married and two years later they moved to Florida too.

Yeah Margo chimed in and said Daniel and I just found out we go to the same school. He is a year ahead of me, it's a big school so I guessed  we never bumped into each other and we only live 10 miles apart. Wow said grandma that is something, well you know what they say, it's a small world.  That’s for sure said Daniel and they all laughed. After they finished their lunch, Daniel said, well I had better get back to my grandparents’ house, they are probably wondering where I am. So Margo, I was wondering if you would like to go into town tomorrow and see a movie. That sounds great Daniel, thanks I would love to. Unless grandma needs me to do anything tomorrow, No dear I can't think of anything you go with Daniel and have fun. I guess I will see you tomorrow then, great said Daniel, then it’s a date. And he turned and walked down the steps.

as soon as he was out of sight; Margo turned to grandma and said,  this may be a wonderful vacation after all. Grandma just laughed and said, it’s good to have young folks around again. Margo laughed and said, now grandma it's just a movie. Grandma winked and said ,that’s the same look Joanne had when she met Bob. And you see what happened to them. That doesn't mean it will be the same with Daniel and me, said Margo. Grandma smiled and said, we'll see, we'll see
