The next few
months seemed to fly by, and Magnolia Lane stayed busy. The old place looked better every
day. mike sawyer had decided to write a book about Magnolia
Lane, he
called
it, (Magnolia Lane where love and the
Magnolia blossoms bloom)
and the book became a huge success. it had already sold over one
million copies. Mike did a few book signing's at Magnolia Lane
and the place just seemed to blossom over night. Margo was so
happy, she knew that grandma Mary would be so proud of her
for making both their dreams come true, and she would be amazed
at all the
people who had stayed there. Margo thought to herself it would be like old times
to grandma. this is how grandma said Magnolia Lane should be,
full of people that would admire it like the great plantation it
used to be.
Margo and misty were
getting things ready for a wedding reception in the ballroom,
late one October afternoon. when Margo suddenly had a
sharp
pain, then another one. misty looked at her and said, are
you ok ,just then another pain hit. no not really said Margo,
call mom Misty, I think I'm in labor Misty grabbed her cell
phone and called Joanne ,and told her what was going on. Joanne
said, if the pains are that close, we won't make it to Atlanta, tell
her to stay calm, Marilyn and I will be right there, and I'll
call Daniel, he won't want to miss this .Ok said Misty see you soon. misty
told Margo what her mother had said. and she sat down with Margo
and
waited. in a few minutes Joanne and Marilyn arrived, they took Margo
into the maids room downstairs. And in a few minutes Bob, Daniel
and Tony showed up. Margo's pains were coming faster and faster, Marilyn
said it will be any minute now. And she was right in just a few
minutes Margo's pains got really bad, and with Daniel holding
her hand the first baby was born. It was the girl Maggie Jo. She
weighed 5lb 4oz,and was 18 and 1/2 inches long. Margo got to see
her for just a minute, then the pain started again and five
minutes latter out came Mathew Lee, weighing 6lbs 2 oz's and was
19 and 1/2 inches long, when it was all over Daniel sat down
beside Margo, he was holding Mathew, and she was holding Maggie. She
looked at him and said, well Mr. Rodgers we are finally a family.
He leaned over and kissed her and said, yes we are my love a
very happy one. And they sat there admiring their babies.
Joanne and Bob and Marilyn
and Teddy, who had arrived just in time to see his grandchildren
being born, and Misty and Tony who was amazed at the new
little ones. were all standing there waiting for the ambulance
to arrive. Margo said, mom could you take some pictures before the
ambulance gets here, I would be happy to said Joanne. good said Margo
my camera is behind the front desk. Joanne took several pictures of
the new family. And some of Joanne and Bob with
the babies and Marilyn and Teddy, and a few picture of Misty and Tony
with the babies . About that time the ambulance arrived to take Margo
to the hospital, so her and the babies could get checked out by
the doctor. Daniel leaned down and kissed her after they put her
on the stretcher. And he said, I'll be there soon honey, I love
you. I love you too Daniel, said Margo, we'll see you soon, Then
the ambulance left.
