Sarah and Mike went into Bill's room. Sarah had never seen Bill like this.  It was breaking her heart to see him this way.  Mike could tell she was having a hard time so he reached for her hand.  Sarah turned and said, "I'm okay, I've got to be strong for him.  He's always been strong for me."  Then she walked over to the bed and laid down beside her dad, just like she had done with her mom all those years ago.  Mike sat in the chair across the room.  She took Bill's hand and said, "It's Sarah, Dad."  She rubbed his face with her hand and kissed his cheek.  His eyes flickered and he tried to smile.
 

 Sarah said, "I'm here, Dad.  I remember when I was in the hospital when I was four.  I was in and out all that day and I was burning up with fever, but I heard you talking to the Lord.  You told Him that Mom and I were the most important people in your life, you pleaded with Him for more time with me, then you said, Lord, don't let her suffer, and you told Him if He had take me, to give you the strength to go on without me.  Well Dad, that's the same prayer I prayed for you tonight."  Tears rolled down Bills face and Sarah's too.  Then she said, "You have always been my rock, Dad.  You raised Justin and me and then Susie all on your own.  Mom would have been so proud, you have always given and never asked for anything in return.  I just pray that I can be half the Minister you were." 
 
Bill was gasping a little for breath and Sarah knew he would soon be gone so she asked Mike if he'd go and get the others to be there when it was time.  He left and she continued to talk to Bill but he seemed more restless.  She said, Dad, I love you so much and I always will.  When you see Mom, give her a kiss for me."  Tears came again to both of them.  Bill tried to speak, but only one word came out, that word was, moon.  Sarah smiled and said, "Yes, Dad, to the moon and back."  Then his hand went limp in hers and she knew he was gone. 

Mike, Susie, and John walked into the room a minute too late.  Sarah held onto her dad, not wanting to let go.  Mike went to get the nurse, then he reached for Sarah and held her as she wept uncontrollably.  The nurse confirmed what Sarah already knew.  Bill was gone.  Sarah looked around and said, "Where is Justin?"  Susie said, "I don't know, Sis, we couldn't find him.  We looked all over,  his car is in the parking lot."  Sarah said, "I think I know where he is, I'll be right back."  Then she told the nurse, "Please don't move my dad just yet."  The nurse said she wouldn't and to take her time.  Sarah thanked her and told the others to stay there and she'd be right back.
