About that time she was jolted
back to reality, as she heard her name being called. It was her
grandma. I'm coming grandma, said Margo.
And she hurried down
the steps and out to
the front porch. Grandma was still sitting in her chair. A thin
dark haired boy was leaning against one of the enormous white
pillars that lined the front porch. There you are,
said grandma. I want you to meet Daniel. He turned around to
face Margo and smiled. He reached his hand out to her and said,
hi Margo it's a pleasure to meet you.
Margo stood there speechless as she looked
into his big blue eyes.
Oh my, she
thought to herself, grandma is right, he is quite good looking. She finally found her voice and said, hello Daniel,
and reached for his
hand. It is such a pleasure to meet you too.
Grandma just smiled as she watched the two of them, it was if
she knew a secret that they didn't. Then she spoke up and said
the two of you have a seat and get to know
each other. I'll go
get the three of us some ice tea and sandwiches.
Margo said ok
grandma, thank you. Then Margo said, won't you have a
seat
Daniel? Sure he said, and they sat together on the porch swing.
