The next morning she awoke to the smell of bacon frying and the smell of fresh coffee brewing. She laid in bed for a few minutes thinking about Daniel and looking forward to seeing him again. This is silly she thought to herself. He probably has a girlfriend after all he is 17 and so good looking. I’m sure he just wants to be friends. She climbed out of bed and put on a tee shirt and a pair of jeans, and pulled her long blonde hair into a pony tail. Then headed downstairs to the kitchen. 

as she entered the kitchen she said something sure smells great. Grandma turned around and said breakfast will be ready in a minute sweetie. Great said Margo, I’m starved. Grandma laughed and said great you could use some meat on those bones, you can't weigh much. Oh grandma, I’m not that skinny, I weigh 110 lbs. and I am five foot five. That's just right for my size. Alright said grandma if you say so, then I guess you won't want any  of my sweet potato pie? Oh yes I will said Margo, you know I love sweet potato pie and they both laughed. 

Where is grandpa this morning asked Margo? Oh child he has  already had breakfast and is out feeding the animals. That man can never sit still, he may eighty, but he acts like he is still fifty. Well said Margo,      Well said Margo, that’s what keeps him young I guess. Yeah, said grandma, I’m five years younger then him and he can still get around better than me. Then she giggled and said but I sure do love that old fella. 

How long have you and grandpa been married, asked Margo? Fifty five  years said grandma I was twenty and he was twenty five. we met right here at magnolia lane. my daddy hired him to tear down an old barn out  back and plant a flower garden where it had been. I was eighteen and he was twenty three, the first time I laid eyes on him I knew he was the one for me. 

We dated for two years, and then he asked my daddy for my hand in marriage. Daddy knew I was crazy about him, so it didn't take long for him to say yes. Besides he thought the world of Sam, so did my mom. She died of cancer two years after Sam and I got married. so we moved in here to take care of my daddy. He and mama had grown up together; they were sweet hearts in high school and got married right after graduation.  They wanted a big family, but mama had trouble when I was born. The doctor said I would be the last baby for her, so I was an only child. But they never spoiled me. Wow grandma, said Margo, now I see where you  got your big heart from. Your parents must have been something; I wish I could have known them. Me too sweetie said grandma, but you were named after my mom. Her name was Margo Elizabeth. Really I never knew that, said Margo. I’ll dig out my picture albums latter and we can look thru them.  That would be awesome. said Margo. Wow look at the time said grandma; Daniel will be here before you know it. We have just talked the morning away. That’s ok said Margo I still have plenty of time. Besides it is so cool learning all the family history.
