Finally
the day has come, For Magnolia Lane's, Bed And Breakfast to
open to the public. Every thing looked great, by 9:30 AM, all
four of Margo's reservations have arrived. The cook Lilly,
is an old friend of Joanne's, she promised to help out, till
they could get on their feet. She had put a tray of snacks out for the guest.
The
first reservation ,was a couple, in their 20's. Joe and Barbara green, and their
6 month old daughter, Susie. Margo was so happy to see a baby,
she sat and played peek a boo with Susie ,and Susie would laugh
and laugh.
The second reservation, was an middle age
couple, Donna and Mark Smith, they were on their second honeymoon.
They had three grown children, Donna said. To tell you the truth,
we never really had a first honeymoon.
The third reservation ,was
a writer, whose name was Mike Sawyer. Mike had been having some
writers block, he said, when he saw the pictures of magnolia lane
on the website,
he felt inspired, for the first
time in a long time. So he decided to visit and maybe get some
ideas. Margo said, awesome
maybe you can write a story about
magnolia lane ,that would be great. There is a lot of history in
this old place, if you would like to hear
about it, just let me know.
Thanks said Mike, I will think about that.
The last reservation
was a young couple, about Margo and Daniels age ,Billy and Mary
Parker. Mary said her grand parents, lived in town for quite a
while after they were first married. And that her grandfather;
did some odd jobs for Margo's great grandfather. She told Margo
that she had some old black and white pictures, that were taken at magnolia lane .It has a lot
of the old cars, and some of the get to gathers that were held there. I
brought you some copies of them, said Mary. When we get
unpacked I will get them for you. Oh that is so nice, said Margo, thanks
I would love to see them.
Well, said Margo, I will let you all get to your
rooms. The guys will show you how to get there. We have a small elevator, or
you can take the stairs, your rooms are on the 2nd floor. And I
am sorry but the 3rd floor is our private floor, so it is off limits. we
will have lunch in the dinning room around 12,so enjoy your stay
and let us know if you need anything.
Soon they were all gone to
their rooms, and Margo slid down on to the chair at the front
desk and sighed. well, she said, I think that went well. Then she look up and said,
grandma, I do believe Magnolia Lane bed
and breakfast, is going to be a
huge success. Then she smiled contently, and said ,well
misty, I think we will be ok ,and magnolia lane bed and
breakfast, may put this town back on the map .
