A Christmas Miracle

On my way to the hospital she felt so peaceful.  She was sure now more than ever that God would heal Sarah.  When she arrived back at Sarah's room, she was sleeping so peacefully, she was cool, not at all hot like she had bee.  Her fever was gone. She looked up and said, "Thank you Lord, thank you so much."  Then she laid down and tried to sleep.

The next morning Sarah woke up early.  She turned and saw her mommy laying back in the recliner sleeping.  She tried to be quiet so she wouldn't wake her.  She laid there thinking what a great day it was going to be.  'I'm four years old today and I will get to see my friends, I have missed them for so long.'  Then Susie woke up and saw Sarah sitting up in her bed.  She looked at her and smiled.  "You're up early,"  Susie said.  "I know,"  said Sarah.  "I'm so excited, today is my birthday!"  "I know," Susie said, "I know you are excited but honey, the party isn't until four this afternoon."

One of the nurses came in with Sarah's breakfast tray.  There was a big balloon tied to it that said, "Happy Birthday?"  All the nurses on the floor had signed it.  Sarah giggled and said, "That's because they love me, Mommy!"  The nurse laughed and said, "We sure do, Sarah.  We hope you have a great birthday."  Sarah said, "I know I will, all my friends are coming for a tea party..  Oh, and you can come too if you want."  "Well, that's sweet of you, Sarah, and I may just do that, but right now I have to get back to work."  "Bye,"  said Sarah, "And thanks for my balloon."  "You are very welcome, honey."  She said as she left the room.  After she was gone, Susie said, "Lets eat this breakfast so we'll be ready to start the day."
